At Chateau Clos Haut Peyraguey they are just starting to pick and the grapes are looking good! I caught them in their Sauternes vineyard which butts onto the vineyards of both Chateau Yquem and Chateau Guiraud.
It's their first small picking, but over the next few weeks they're hoping for a little rain and the the nights to be a little less cold, for the botrytis to develop fully.
However, at this stage the vineyard and grapes are looking lovely and healthy and given the right conditions this could be another excellent Sauternes vintage.
